So I mentioned earlier this week that I had some fun new developments happening in my world – well I promise I won’t leave you hanging any longer.

Tim and I have been dying to find a place to live in one of our favorite neighborhoods. It’s an up-and-coming neighborhood in the DC area with lots of charm – a farmers market, a butcher, small grocery stores, cute little coffee shops and great places to eat. The homes are a little more pricey than what we want to pay, so we’ve been patiently looking for a little place to open up.

This weekend we found a flat that we are absolutely smitten with! It was built in the 30s and has recently been restored…great hardwood floors, new kitchen appliances, plus a cozy little year-round sunroom. Guys, it’s so cute! Plus its only a block away from the farmers market. Hello fresh cooking.

So we’re 95% done with the paperwork (we rent) and we move in mid-April (eek! just in time for spring/summer!).

The biggest “shocker” is that the flat is smaller than the place we are in now. And the kitchen is teensy tiny. But we’re actually really excited about that – ready for a new challenge in decorating and creatively using kitchen space. So this week I’ve been scouring apartment therapy and style articles on living and decorating in small spaces. I am so. excited.

I can’t wait to keep you updated on what we do with the space. Stay tuned for photos.
